We would like to get together and plan some training days for all the upcoming tests.
We have some new Drahthaar owners that need some help as well as some regular guys who need some help with training as well. June 11th Training Day
Bo Waller will be hosting a HZP/VGP training day on Sunday July 11 at Hastings Island Hunting Preserve north of Rio Vista. If interested please contact Bo. We will organize different training groups to rotate through on the test subjects in field and water. Have your dogs force broke and ready to participate.
Chukars will be available.
If someone can pick up Ducks at Metzger farms let Bo know and then work out the details.

May 22nd Training Day

February 27th Training Day
Fellow member Matt Jones has been generous enough to offer us the use of some land in American Fork. There are a few fields and water is close as well. We will mainly be laying drags as this is not a place populated with rabbits. But it will help get the handlers and the pups an idea of what is to come and how to start a track. We will also be able to work on some pointing and searching too.
I am in the process of trapping pigeons now, but keep in mind i am in the city. Game is hard to come by, so if you can supply a bunny or birds, even if you can bring extra to sell for a small fee. It will all be appreciated.
Meet at 9am, Holiday Gas Station, 300 West Main Street, American Fork, Utah. The property is just South of here. We will caravan from here. If you get lost or late call me @801-915-5780. March 13th VJP Training Day
There will be a second training day on March 13th in Malta, ID. This is the actual test site for the VJP in April. We will hopefully be able to actually get on live rabbit tracks and run through a mock test scenario. I am trying to get a couple judges committed to coming, so that possibly those of us who are interested in getting our dogs certified loud on fur for the VsWP entry, can do so. If you are a judge and interested please let me know.
We will be meeting at the Cattle Country Steakhouse, 420 N Main Street Malta, ID at 8 am.
It is also the corner of sublett road and Hwy 81. Access from Exit 245(Sublett/Malta) on I-84 (Map Attached below)
