VDD GNA Annual Meeting 2012 The Wild West Chapter will be hosting the 2012 VDD GNA Annual Meeting. All the planning is in the works now and we are happy to accept any volunteers,donations,or helping hands of any kind. If you are interested in helping out or being a part of this huge event. Please contact me for more info. We will need helpers and volunteers in all aspects of the event so any help is good help. We hope to see you there! The Annual Meeting dates are July 20-21 2012. The meeting will be held at Wasatch Wing and Clay in Cedar Valley Utah. This facility is less than an hour away from the SLC International Airport. It is minutes away from the host hotel and dining,shopping, museums, Utah Lake and 5 Mile OHV Park are all within a few miles. We are still in the process of working out all the details and will post more as it becomes available. This is sure to be a whole family style,Wild West Adventure, so save the date and plan ahead! Training Days We would like to get together and plan some training days for all the upcoming tests.
We have some new Drahthaar owners that need some help as well as some regular guys who need some help with training as well. Wild West Chapter Meeting and Breed Show
Hello Wild West Members! It is that time again. Time for our Annual Chapter Meeting and Breed Show. This year the meeting and breed show will take place at Wasatch Wing and Clay, in Cedar Valley Utah. The
meeting will be held on Feb 17th at 6 pm, in the clubhouse. I encourage
as many of you to attend if possible. Our chapter will be hosting the
VDD GNA Annual Meeting here in July, so we will have alot of items to
discuss and would like your input. Food and some beverages will be
provided,but feel free to bring your own adult beverages. Please RSVP to
myself so that I can have a proper count for food. The club is open for clay shooting, and there is plenty of area to exercise dogs,so bring your dogs and shotguns if you desire.
The breed show will be held the following day, Feb 18th, also at
Wasatch Wing and Clay. Lunch will be available for a small cost. Following the breed show will be a VGP Judging seminar, all apprentices and judges are invited to attend. You will
find hotel information and contact information along with directions to
Wasatch Wing and Clay below. This is a great opportunity for new
members to get acquainted with the chapter members and the VDD system,
as well as learn something about the breed and the goals we have as a
chapter.

Pre-Armbruster Evaluations - JULY 2011
If you are planning on running in this years Armbruster in Shreveport LA, you will need to pass the Pre-Evaluation of gun sensitivity, entering the water on command and a coat and conformation rating of at least good/good. We will hold the Evaluations at Cutler Marsh where we have the HZP water, on July 16th at 9:00 a.m. Please contact Cal at 801-791-5250 or lostcreek01@comcast.net and let him know you plan to attend please.
If your dog scored at least 65 points at VJP we would highly encourage you to attend this years Armbruster. It is a great event not only for the testing of the dogs but it is a great chance to meet members and a wonderful social event.
Wild West Chapter Meeting

Topics discussed will be: a) Vice Chairman election, Jason Wilde will be stepping down as Vice Chairman to concentrate on his VR apprenticeship and Director of Testing responsiblities for the WWC. b) Proposal to have a WWC breeders award. This is proposed to be similar to the Great Lakes Chapter award. Recognizing tested dogs and talent.
c) Proposal to have state representives for the chapter and VDD. These are proposed to be voted on by the state members. A local contact for new members, puppy purchasers, testing coordinators,etc.. Breed Show and Judging/Continued Education Seminar - Required Breed Show will start at 8 am Saturday Feb 26th and will again be held at Steve Field's shop..2458 North Rulon White Blvd. Farr West, Utah
Judging Seminar : Will begin after lunch around 1:30pm. Mark Heuer (WY), GNA Director of Judge Developement and Mike Talbot (MN) GNA Director of Testing, will be in attendance and presenting our Judging Seminar. This is for all Apprentices and current VR's . We strongly encourage all Judges in the WWC to attend as we will be dicussing many topics. The Apprentices need this seminar to become a Judge and many current VR's need it to stay current with their requirements to remain a Judge in the VDD and JGHV testing program. I would like RSVP's from the Judges or apprentices as we will be printing and handing out VGP and HZP "test practices" in printed manual form.
