            Test Entry Form

            Eligibility requirements to enter a test:
            • VJP and HZP are open to dogs born in the prior year, or the last 3 months of the year before that
            • VGP has no maximum age requirement but dogs whelped in the same year as the test may not be entered
            • dogs may not be tested more than twice in any given type of test
            • dogs other than Deutsch-Drahthaar must be registered with a member club of the JGHV or FCI
            • precedence will be given to DD's; other eligible dogs will be admitted on a space available basis if a test is not filled (entry fees are doubled for non-DD's)
            Mail entries to the Test Director listed for your test in the Test Calendar. The test calendar is published on the VDD/GNA website and in the VDD/GNA newsletter. Complete entries consist of two copies of the entry form, two copies of both sides of your dog's Ahnentafel, and appropriate entry fee. Checks should be made payable to VDD/GNA. All originals, along with a valid Rabies vaccination certificate, must be presented at the start of the test

            Breed Show Entry Form

            To be eligible to enter a VDD Breed Show, dogs must:
            • pass one breed or JGHV test: VJP, HZP, Hegewald Breed Test, VGP, VSWP
            • have a minimum score of "Sufficient" in rabbit / hare track
            • have a minimum score of "Sufficient" in duck search
            • not have been marked gunshy or game shy at any test
            • otherwise meet breeding requirements of Article 9 of the VDD Breeding Regulations
            • be evaluated as HD-frei by VDD's HD Zentrale
            To be eligible for entry into the Breed Registry (be assigned a ZR rating and number) dogs must also:
            • have a visible beard
            • be at least 15 months old
            • be rated at least "Good" in both conformation and coat during the breed show
            • have passed HZP or VGP
            • score a minimum of "Good" in rabbit track
            • score a minimum of "Good" in duck search
            • not be marked as "Waidlaut" (loud when not in the presence of game or on scent)
            • not be marked as "Stumm" at any test without additional demonstration or proof of being loud either on scent or sight
            • have no temperament faults such as timid, aggressive, skittish or nervous, even if not severe enough to disqualify from breeding
            Mail entries to the Test Director listed for your breed show in the test calendar. The test calendar is published on the VDD/GNA website and in the VDD/GNA newsletter. Complete entries consist of the entry fee, entry form, a copy of both sides of your dog's Ahnentafel, and copies of all test records, HN certificate, and HD evaluation. Checks should be made payable to VDD/GNA. All originals, along with a valid Rabies vaccination certificate, must be presented at the start of the breed show. Entry deadlines are 30 days before the dates of the respective Breed Shows.

             HD and OCD Evaluations 
             Before being eligible for breeding certification, your dog must be evaluated as free from hip dysplasia (HD), and as of 1/1/2012, free from osteochondritus dissecans (OCD).
            Evaluation for elbow dysplasia is not mandatory at this time, although VDD encourages owners to have their breeding dogs evaluated.
